I’m keen to understand the current state of EA funding, particularly in light of recent global developments. In simple terms, I see the ecosystem as a two-sided market: on the supply, there are donors and funding, and on the other, charities that run cost-effective programs.
Given the shifting global macroeconomic and political climate—especially with reduced funding for organisations like USAID—there may be both a pressing need and an opportunity for the EA community to sustain or even expand its work in Global Health and Development. Additionally, with the fallout from the FTX collapse now far behind us, which had a substantial funding impact, it's worth reassessing the current levels of funding for EA initiatives. So far, I’ve only come across articles from 2022 like this one, which leaves me wondering how the landscape has evolved.
