Hi everyone,
I recently applied for the EA Global: London scholarship but was unfortunately rejected. However, attending this event is incredibly important to me at this stage in my career. I’m looking for any suggestions on alternative funding sources that could support my attendance.
A bit about my background and why this matters:
- I am a microbiologist and researcher transitioning into a more impact-driven career. My team and I are building a platform in Nigeria that integrates phage-based technologies and AI tools to accelerate the development of therapeutics and vaccines. This initiative aims to address critical healthcare challenges in low-resource settings.
- I am at a pivotal stage where maximizing impact and expanding my network is crucial to advancing this work.
- I want to deepen my understanding of what truly matters in EA and refine how I contribute.
- Without some hope for funding, I won’t be able to apply for a visa, so I need clarity on possibilities before proceeding.
If anyone knows of grants, travel funding, or even individual donors who might support participation in EA events, I’d really appreciate your insights.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
I don't know the situation but perhaps there remains funding for other EA Globals, not in London?
