The Charter Cities Institute (CCI, formerly the Center for Innovative Governance Research) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the creation of charter cities. CCI's activities include producing popular content, publishing academic research, and providing technical assistance to governments and companies.

CCI was founded in 2017. It has received funding from Tyler Cowen's Emergent Ventures (Cowen 2018) and, more recently, from Vitalik Buterin (Singh 2021).
