Hi I'm a Texan college student studying aerospace engineering and getting a Master's degree in finance(in large part because of the ideas of effective altruism). I love to read, know almost nothing about the world, and have very little idea what should be put in this bio.
I'm raring to go but need a direction.
Hi all, this is my first post on the forum and I apologize for the shameless plug, but I just recently came into an opportunity to work on a large project focusing on climate change and emerging technologies relating to it ending with a presentation to the leadership of a fund with ~50 billion dollars in assets under management and the ability to put reasonable portions of that to work every year.
My influence is likely to be quite limited, however if anyone has special insight into hydrogen production, green VC firms, carbon storage technologies or any other areas they see as ready to scale in the energy transition, I would love to find out more. Additionally, I would also be interested if any subject matter experts are willing to recommend resources or discuss ideas with me.
I would say there is a 90% chance this project has a minimal impact on the board's decision, but the leadership team seems to be open to being convinced and it seems worth a shot.
Good advice, thanks!
