What to expect
In 2025, we're planning to host four events:
- EA Global: Bay Area, February 21-23
- EA Global: London, June 6-8
- EA Global: East Coast USA (location and date TBA, tentatively October/November)
- EA Global: Virtual (date TBA)
Applications are now open!
Apply nowThere’s just one application form for all 2025 in-person EAGs. This means:
- Approval to EA Global 2025 allows you to register for all EA Globals that year.
- If you’d like to request travel support to attend an EA Global, you will need to submit an event-specific request form (you can do this for as many EA Globals as you’d like).
- If you are not approved for EA Global 2025, you can re-apply once applications for the next upcoming conference have closed.
We'll also be supporting a variety of EAGx events for those newer to EA, and those looking to support newer people; you can keep an eye out for those on our website.
We want you to apply
This year, we’re hoping to bring more people to EA Global. Based on the feedback we’ve received in 2023 and 2024, we believe our current event series is an effective way to coordinate around pressing problems, helping to foster professional development, collaboration, and meaningful progress for those working on EA-aligned issues.
To improve transparency around our admissions, we’ve just posted an overview of the EA Global admissions bar, which explains some of our criteria, how we review applications, past approval rates, and more.
If you’re considering applying to EA Global, we encourage you to apply. If you would like support from our team in deciding whether EA Global is right for you, please reach out to hello@eaglobal.org.
Whoop - exciting :) Thanks for all your effort in organising these great conferences!
Last year, EAG Bay Area was billed as mainly a global catastrophic risk-focussed event, whereas EAG London was more cause-area-broad/neutral.
For 2025, it seems like you aren't explicitly badging EAG Bay Area as GCR-focussed. Is this a fair reading of things, and (totally optionally), might you be able to share some of your thinking on this point? (I don't really have a particular preference either way, just curious!)
Thanks!
Thanks! Yes you're correct that EAG Bay Area this year won't be GCR-focused and will be the same as other EAGs. Briefly, we're dropping the GCR-focus as CEA is aiming to focus on principles-first community building, and because a large majority of attendees last year said they would have attended a non-GCR focused event anyway.
