The Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) is an AI governance research center.
History
GovAI was founded in 2018, as part of the Future of Humanity Institute. In June 2021, it became an independent organization.[1]
Funding
As of June 2022, GovAI has received around $3 million in funding from Open Philanthropy[2], and over $600,000 from the Survival and Flourishing Fund.[3][4]
